Product details
Déborah Sitbon Neuberg founded De Bonne Facture to create purposeful clothing made with transparency and sustainability in mind. The line showcases small ateliers, primarily throughout France, but additionally around a few other parts of Europe — each one specializing in the product they craft. The line is nostalgic, reverential towards well made and well-worn menswear classics, and leaning into a more casual aesthetic for their beautifully-tailored designs.
De Bonne Facture take sustainability extremely seriously, with a design philosophy that relies on five pillars — "garment durability, atelier traceability, fabric provenance, the ecological impact of our supply chain, and the preservation of industrial know-hows". Their garments are built to last, using high end materials that will improve with time as they wear in, developing unique character with time.
The Two Pocket Overshirt is inspired by by a vintage one found at the St. Ouen flea market. It has distinctive flap pockets (with no buttons) common on many vintage overshirts throughout the midcentury. In linen it is still an ideal mid or outer-layer.
Made from 100% certified Oeko Tex and European Flax. The linen is woven in Belgium and cut and sewn by Atelier of Mr. João Nuno Luz, Fanzeres, Portugal.
The shirt features cross-stitched horn buttons, a curved hem, and barrel cuffs.
Fits true to size. Wash cold, hang dry.
